Volunteering

I think volunteering is a wonderful thing and since my life here is so boring, I decided that I would be perfect for volunteering at the hospital. I read all about it and there were several opportunities ranging from delivering flowers and entertaining kids, to changing beds and folding blankets. I got very excited and made plans with my grandpa to go down to the hospital to sign up. It was a long day just trying to find the right building and having a VERY slow grandpa makes things longer. So after two hours of driving and walking in 108 degree weather, we finally found the right place and went in. I was so excited but exhausted. The old lady was nice and thanked me for my interest. She let me know the following: That I would first have to fill out the 5 page application with 2 references. Then IF they accept me, I will have to take a drug test, tb test, and hepatitis B test. Then the lady tells me that after all of this hassle....... I can work in the GIFT SHOP. Why would I go through all of that to work in a stupid gift shop? That's not the volunteer work I had in mind.

Such a Boring life!

Okay so I've been living in St. George for a little over a week now. My mom doesn't have a job yet and neither do I. We have been looking for a place to live ever since we got here and have had no luck. I never leave the house because it is too hot and I really don't have anywhere to go. I went to church on Sunday and wasn't planning on staying more than just Sacrament meeting. (it was first). Then a girl named Brita came up to me and was very nice. She made me tag along with her to the other classes and everyone was so nice. They ALL asked who I was and where I came from. And it wasn't just the people that I liked about church, it was the lessons. They were all different than I'm used to. I actually learned something! A lot of things too! So anyway, everything was better than Lyman. I'm so glad to be away from that stupid place. In other news... Michael is coming to St. George. Grandpa Ted asked him to come do some temple work so we are all going. I'm excited to spend time with him.

I'm Here

I'm finally here in St. George. I love everything about it except for the heat. I drove past my new school and it looks pretty nice. Well compared to Lyman it is. It's big and has a HUGE football STADIUM. They must really be into sports or something. I'm living with my grandpa right now but My mom and I are looking for places to live. We have found quite a few but we need to call and find out the details. I'm excited to get settled and find a job. i got a big bucket of cotton candy today for 1 dollar and I ate the whole thing... by myself.

Moving on Monday

I am moving on Monday. I am getting extremely excited and quite anxious. I won't miss anything or anyone here except for Michael. I don't like living in Lyman, Wyoming. I am excited to live in a new place with new people.

Phoenix Arizona

I can't believe it. Michael is going to PHOENIX!! His family lives there. Also I will be living 4 hours away from him! Well I recorded it all and am going to post it. It was pretty neat.

Moving

I finally decided to write a new post. I am so excited to move to St. George. We are now set to leave on July 7th, which is in 16 days. I have started to pack but have ended up ripping into all of those boxes. So I guess I need to start over. Mikey needs to get his call really soon so I will still be here to hear it. It is a really good thing that I am leaving before Michael. That way I can still talk to him on the phone and I won't have to start off in a new place all by myself, without a single friend. So anyway, Moving is a great thing for my family. We are all very excited.

Isn't St George beautiful? I am so excited to move there. I never realized how pretty it was until we decided to live there. It gets pretty hot sometimes but thats better than 9 months or so of blizzards in Wyoming.
